Swimming Fin Basics

Swim fins in various neon colors are a common sight where people are swimming, but mostly on the beaches in the world. Children love and many adults use it regularly for swimming. Fins allow you to move faster in water with much less effort than would otherwise be necessary. The design is very intuitive, so maybe no surprise that Leonardo da Vinci, one of our greatest creative minds, is a concept, like the fin of a swimming bear today. Da Vinci, but not invented. Instead, he stayed a very famous inventor, much later. Benjamin Franklin is credited with inventing swimming fins, originally designed wooden oars that swimming helped him swim faster.
